It’s been a very long time since I posted an FBFF (Fashion/Beauty Friend Friday) post. FBFF is an amazing community of bloggers that discusses different issues and topics each week that relate to the fashion and beauty industry, especially as a blogger. This week, I am covering the topic of what Spring Trends I am loving. With Spring here (finally!), there are so many trends that are available, wearable, and ready to enter my closet. I am absolutely loving the iridescence trend, the full skirt, the ever classic black and white, and of course, the geometric prints. You can’t go wrong with any of those trends, and they are so easily wearable by all shapes and sizes. What I love about these four trends is the ease of incorporation into any outfit. You could opt for an entire ensemble or just mix and match different accessories from each trend to create a spark of interest in your look. Which Spring Trend out of these four is your favorite?

EVENT: Music & Fun with Macy’s & American Rag!

I’m still feeling patriotic from the fourth of July, I guess. Even though we are well past the patriotic holidays, this dress is just too perfect and comfy to pass up. It flatters my curvy shape really well, and I absolutely love it for summer. Old Navy has seriously been getting cuter and cuter dresses lately! Have you checked their site out at all recently? It’s definitely worth your while, they always have some sort of sale or discount going on.

I’m down in Miami currently, finishing up Swim Week. It’s been an insane, crazy, and super fun time packed with so, so much stuff. I will definitely be posting about it once I return. I shot these just before I headed down to South Florida. Surprisingly we really haven’t gotten much rain up here, unlike Miami. I’m glad – it gives more time for fabulous picture taking opportunities!!

With Miami Swim Week on starting this week, there are a ton of events and happening going on. I recently had the pleasure of taking part in an awesome shoot for Swim Week as part of a street style campaign hosted by my friend, Annie of The Fashion Poet, Peroni Italy, and The Sagamore Hotel. Myself, along with 29 other bloggers from Miami shot different looks for a street style photo installation entitled “Summer Crush”, which will debut at the Escape Miami event this Saturday, July 20th. I chose this tribal dress because it really screams summer in the sun to me. I paired up some chunky tribal inspired jewelry and a large black hat to really finish the look. I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to Mayleen of Photo Boutique for taking such gorgeous photos, and for being a doll to work with.

Like the fourth of July

I hope all of you in the US had a wonderful, safe, and super fun fourth of July. It was my first one away from my family, so it was bittersweet for me. My brother religiously has a large BBQ each year, with tons of friends and family, and this is my first year with out the annual celebration. I am, however, really enjoying our new house, which is always good.

Macy’s American Icon’s Event

Join me & my gal pal Rosy as your Red Carpet Hosts tonight at 5:30pm at Macy’s in Aventura Mall (level 2) for a fun American Icons event. We will be on the red carpet awarding special gifts to those customers rocking a Macy’s brand before the American Icons Fashion Show. If you take any pictures during the event, be sure to tag them with #AmericanIcons so I can check them out! I hope to see you there!!

Also be sure to check out the super fun Burger Challenge event going on in the Macy’s Home store in Aventura that evening (I know I will be checking it out!!).
