Can you believe that we are almost into December?! To finish up my Fall Must Haves series, I’m focusing on denim. I’ve picked my absolute favorites for this season, including both straight and plus sizes. For those of you looking for great jeans for plus sizes that fit really well, are excellent quality, and are totally worth the $$ check out James Jeans. Their jeans are incredible quality, super soft to the touch, wash really well (they don’t shrink, fade or lose shape), and wear really really well. They are definitely my favorite denim designers out there when it comes to plus size jeans.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons, not to mention my favorite time of year. This Fall I’ve got a serious list of must-haves, and to start things off right let’s talk about what shoes are on my Fall Must-Haves list!
Fall Must Haves: Shoes
Leggings with Lace Panel, Fringe Boots (in brown), Cardigan, and Bangles (c/o Deb Shops) | Phillip Lim for Target Bag | Lane Bryant Necklace (in gold)
I have been dying for a great pair of fringe boots that would fit my calves. That’s my biggest gripe as a plus size girl. Finding boots that fit is almost impossible. It seems like all of the cute boots have a calf circumference of 14″ and smaller, which is great if you are super skinny. If you are athletic, have muscular calves, or are curvy/plus sized, 14″ is just down right uncomfortable. My calves are between 16.5″ – 17″, and these fringe boots are so comfy and fit so well. In fact, they are almost a little big! I couldn’t resist pairing them with these adorable leggings and amazingly flowy cardigan. It was like the perfect comfortable rainy day outfit. I headed out to my local Torrid to meet with the store manager and chat about some fall trends.
Torrid has always had such great plus size selections. If you can spot that leopard print blazer on the wall, you can bet that I was eyeing that the entire time. I came across two items that really stood out to me that are just perfect for fall. First, I saw these great studded olive combat boots. I could totally see these in my closet. They are so versatile and would be great with a pair of jeans or leggings!
Next I came across something that I’ve always been pining for, but never ever found. Lace shorts!! Yes!! Finally something coveted in straight sizes is available for plus sizes. How cute would these look with a pair of tights and a great plaid blazer and maybe a faux leather peplum top?? Perfect for fall!
I’ve got some exciting things in the works in collaboration with my local Torrid, so stay tuned!
**Disclosure: I received compensation for the items in this post in collaborating with Sonsi and the #boostyourcq campaign. All opinions are my own.
Lane Bryant Faux Leather Dress & City Chic Lace Jacket (c/o Sonsi) | Boohoo Plaid Heels (c/o) | Deb Shops Lion Necklace (c/o)
I’ve partnered with Sonsi to promote their Boost Your CQ campaign. What I love about this campaign is that it celebrates your curves, no matter how confident or comfortable you are with them. It also helps you to find clothes that make you feel more comfortable in your skin, clothes that make you embrace your style, your curves, and help to boost your confidence. You can take their curvy quotient test to find out what your CQ is (curvy quotient). What is a “curvy quotient”, you ask? A curvy quotient is a measurement of a plus size woman’s style, confidence, and willingness to embrace her curves. Once you’ve completed the test, you are taken to an amazing selection of clothing catered just for you based on your CQ. I took the test, and scored “Confidently Curvy“. I was taken to a ton of amazing styles that I wanted to add to my closet. I found this amazing faux leather dress with comfy, stretchy side panels and this gorgeous lace jacket in my selections. I couldn’t resist!! How perfect are they?? I love the fact that the dress has stretchy panels on the side. It really caters to and flatters my figure, while incorporating the amazing faux leather trend that I’m completely smitten with. I had to go with the lace jacket. I mean, I live in Florida, and it’s hot pretty much 7+ months out of the year here, so it’s definitely a versatile piece to have in my closet. With all of that said, what is your CQ? Take the test, and boost your cq!
